“Hello Now” is a personal photo project capturing intimate moments with friends during travels across Brazil, created before the pandemic. The project reflects on time, memory, and connection through a curated visual journey.
As the photographer and curator, I was responsible for documenting the experience, selecting the imagery, and shaping the project’s visual tone and narrative.
The aim was to go beyond documentation, using photography to evoke emotion and explore the contrast between fleeting memories and lasting impressions. The challenge was to organize the imagery in a way that felt cohesive, expressive, and deeply personal.
Over the years, I revisited the collection, carefully curating images that created tension and harmony between moments. I explored themes of nostalgia, movement, and intimacy, shaping a narrative that invites viewers into a personal yet relatable story.
The final project is a contemplative visual essay that blends memory and emotion. “Hello Now” not only archives a significant period in my life but also explores how photography can preserve feelings as much as it does visuals.
