Ingla is a modern, friendly English school located in North London. Known for its warm, intimate learning environment and small class sizes, the school offers both in-person and online experiences tailored to create a vibrant, student-centered atmosphere.
After studying at Ingla for five months, I developed a close relationship with the school’s owners and teachers, which led me to propose a complete rebrand. I took the lead on strategy and design, from research to visual identity development, presenting and implementing a fresh creative direction for the school.
The key challenge was to refresh the school’s visual identity without losing the charm and warmth that made it unique. The brand needed to feel more modern and polished, while staying true to Ingla’s playful and welcoming teaching style.
I began with an in-depth analysis of the London language school market, a review of Ingla’s existing brand assets, and conversations with stakeholders to understand the school’s current positioning and goals. From there, I developed a brand identity that included a redesigned logo, expanded color palette, refined typography, and a flexible visual system. The new look is clean and contemporary, yet full of personality, a reflection of the school’s vibrant spirit.
The rebrand brought a cohesive, energetic look to all of Ingla’s communications. The updated identity was well received by both staff and students, helping the school stand out in a competitive market while remaining true to its core values. The design system also gave the internal team more flexibility and confidence when applying the brand across touchpoints.
